All are in black-and-white, except the notable “Column on the March," which is reproduced, with moderate success, in colours as a frontispiece. The quality of these "authoritative and concentrated utterances" on this war is so fine that Mr. Nevinson's official mission to paint more pictures of the war is as gratifying as, a year or two ago, it would have been surprising. Mr. P. G.
